Christmas.

I dont know about you but christmas songs have always held a special place in my heart.  These are songs that i have been singing since as early as i can remember, and something about them makes them some of the best songs i have ever heard.  I think that next year i am going to possibly record a number of the songs that i have grown up to love.  I think for me, i dont like to hear christmas music only at christmas...i want to hear it year round (as long as i never hear that "santa baby"song ever again).  But as far as music goes, i have been really inspired throughout the christmas season, and i think that it is going to be a great year for making music.  Lets cross those fingers. 

NEW SONG.

So i put up a couple new songs online yesterday.  The first song up there "in Case of Emergency" has got to be one of my favorite songs i have ever written.  I put everything i have into that song and i couldn't be more happy with it...after all it is the title track of the album.  Its probably something that mean more to me right now than anything else.  It was probably the hardest song i have ever had to write.  But there will most likely be a few more to come like that.  the album is shaping up to be better than i could have expected and i am focusing on my music now more than ever. These are still the album scratch tracks but they will give you a good idea of what they are going to sound like on the album.  The christmas song is something that i wrote a long time ago and thought it was halarious so i hope you enjoy that as well.  So keep listening for more new tracks that should be going up on a regular basis.  

New Album

So as many of you have been hoping for quite some time, waking jude has finally started recording for the new album.  it is still going to be quite the involved process, but i have started.  I wanted to wait until i could do it exactly the way i wanted, with the people i wanted.  

Also coming soon are going to be tshirts, girls underwear and maybe even some hoodies (although hoodies seem as though they should take priority over undies, in all reality they don't.  Whats better than your name on someones ass?)  Some of you have already heard some upcoming tracks at myspace.com/wakingjude but for those of you who haven't, go check em out and leave a comment.  Let me know what you think.  

There is now a waking jude street team to help promote shows and more or less get the word out there.  You can join that group at www.myspace.com/wakingjudestreetteam.  I will also be trying to play regularly at the blarney stone on thursday nights for their open mic so come on out and bring your friends.  I think it usually starts at 8 and goes till 12 or 1.  All this said, see you soon.  WJ
